Coastal Roots promotes native plants and educational workshops. We offer horticulture techniques in a salt-laden environment and nature walks identifying the flora and fauna of The Fire Island National Seashore.

I use my knowledge and experience to evaluate a residential, public or natural setting with a trained eye as a beekeeper and master gardener observing the patterns of the wildlife. Through my work at the shop I can help my clients identify local wildlife and vegetation both historic, present, and displaced to create garden design projects with an authentic understanding of plant, place, and purpose.

I feel most rewarded sharing my design sensibilities and aesthetic in creating a thriving garden, a biodiverse ecology, and a strong habitat environment surrounding the residential/commercial for people and the wildlife to co-exist.
